Meet the Instructors...

Kelly Patterson:
Kelly Patterson combines his background as a classroom instructor and facilitator, with 12 years of experience as a Quality Engineer and Consultant, to provide a straightforward, energetic, and job-specific approach to each training session. As a Quality Engineer, Kelly has worked with Saturn, General Motors Electric Vehicle, Chrysler, Mitsubishi, and Navistar International programs. As a teacher, Kelly has educated students at the elementary through university levels. He has also been instructing quality-based courses in the automotive industry for six years. His experience as both an instructor and an engineer has benefited companies such as Ford, Visteon, Textron, Valeo, Jo-Ad Industries, and many other Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.

Rhonda L. Brender:
Rhonda Brender combines her background as a project coordinator and quality facilitator, with 13 years of experience as a FMEA facilitator and trainer, helping people learn how to prevent failures through group brainstorming. Rhonda served on the General Motors committee developing the Automotive Industries Action Group FMEA reference manual. She co-authored a reference guide called FMEA Philosophy and Practice and developed the storyboarding method called I-PINS (Information Posted in Numeric Sequence). As a trainer, Rhonda has educated students through public and in-house training sessions for corporations and universities. She is a certified seminar leader and instructor for several FMEA courses with the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and is also a certified ISO/QS 9000 Internal Auditor. Rhonda has worked with Becton-Dickenson, Caterpillar, General Motors Cars and Trucks, Lear Corporation, Navistar International, PerkinElmer/EG&G, and Solar Turbines.
